Plumsted business expo March 27

PLUMSTED — The Plumsted Business and Merchants Association (PBMA) will sponsor its 2010 Spring Business Expo on March 27 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year, the location of the event has been changed to the Woehr Elementary School on North Main Street in New Egypt.

PBMA President Herb Marinari said this is a great opportunity for residents of Plumsted and neighboring towns to become acquainted with local businesses, merchants and organizations operating within the community.

Families can enjoy an afternoon of door prizes, food and shopping while getting to know local business owners. Plenty of parking is available. Residents of all towns are invited to attend the expo.

Marinari said that for more than 18 years, the PBMA has supported the New Egypt downtown business owners as well as surrounding Plumsted Township businesses. He said the PBMA affords local businesses a network that helps build relationships and success.

According to Marinari, the PBMA provides opportunities to connect with prospective customers, develop leadership potential and gives avenues for elected officials to hear the business owner’s voice.

The PBMA sponsors awards at New Egypt High School and New Egypt Middle School, as well as sponsoring a food drive at Christmas in conjunction with the Plumsted Township School District, providing meals to families in need.

The 2010 Spring Business Expo will be held at the Woehr Elementary School rain or shine.
