Mr. Bacorn, 100, of Whiting, died March 28, 2010, at home. Prior to retiring, he was the director of farming for the state of New Jersey for 20 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Olive, in 1992; and four children, Anne Birch, John Bacorn, Robert Bacorn and Linda Niedermaier. Mr. Bacorn is survived by a son, William, of Mena, Ark.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. A funeral service was held at the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Somerset Hills Cemetery, Bernardsville.
