Mr. Partala, 84, of Howell, died April 5, 2010, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was born in Russia and had lived in Germany prior to moving to Howell in 1951. He was an auto mechanic throughout the area until his retirement in 1988. He was predeceased by his daughter, Lubow, in 2009; and a brother, John Partala. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Maria; two sons, Eugene P. Partala of Aston, Pa., and Alexander P. Partala of Howell; two daughters, Sieglinde “Linda” and her husband, Robert Bonfilio, of Brockway, Pa., and Maria A. Partala of Howell; two brothers-in-law, Michael Pichler and his wife, Frieda, of Virginia, and Al Byer and his wife, Diane, of Oklahoma; a grandson; and two nieces. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Alexander Nevsky Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Howell, followed by interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lakewood. Arrangements were by Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
