Mr. Flood, 78, of Howell, died Aug 26, 2010, at Bartley Healthcare, Jackson. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local No. 825, Springfield, for many years. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955, attaining the rank of corporal. Mr. Flood was predeceased by a brother, Robert H. Flood. Surviving are a sister, Margaret Spears of the Leonardo section of Middletown; and his companion of 41 years, June McRann, of Howell. A funeral service was held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown section of North Hanover, Burlington County.
