Monmouth Museum hosts Anique Taylor exhibit

The Monmouth Museum is hosting “New Jersey Emerging Artists Series — Anique Taylor: Mixed Media.” The exhibition, which will run through Sept. 19, features mixed media sculptures rich in color and detail that are psychological portraits of women in various stages of their lives.

 

“Uncertain Spring” “Uncertain Spring” Taylor uses a variety of media, including paint, colored pencil, lino prints, paper fragments and newspaper, and works in successive layers to create artworks in both two and three dimensions. An artist’s Gallery Talk will take place Sept. 15, 7-8 p.m. Opening reception and gallery talk are free and open to the public.

The Emerging Artists Series is an ongoing program for artists in all

mediums who are residents of New Jersey, who have never had a one-person show. The artists selected for this series represent the diversity of talent in the state and demonstrate their creativity in a wide variety of media. Gallery talks offer artists the opportunity to share insights on their work.
