Mrs. Lucas, 72, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, died Sept. 10, 2010, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She graduated from Marywood University, Scranton, Pa., with a degree in elementary education, and was employed as a teacher in Perth Amboy for 40 years. After her retirement in 2000, Mrs. Lucas assisted her husband in his land survey business. She is survived by her husband, George T. Lucas; three sons and daughters-in-law, George and Karen of Jackson, Brian and Stephanie of Morganville, and Richard and Stacey Springett of Hazlet; two sisters, Pat Wojciechowski and brother-in-law, Walt, of Manalapan, and Clair Gaudiano and brother-inlaw, Antonio, of Dublin, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mika, and husband, Gilbert, of Morganville; and five grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel Historic Church, Marlboro, followed by entombment in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Waitt-Nelms Funeral Home, Morganville.
