Community invited to Ronald McDonald House business mixer

The Ronald McDonald House of New Brunswick is celebrating its fifth anniversary and will host a community/business mixer on Jan. 26 from 5-7 p.m.

“We are inviting members of our community, including business owners, their directors, managers and staff, in addition to community leaders in the New Brunswick metro area to join us for this celebration. We want you to see what Ronald McDonald House offers our families, how we make a difference and how much community support is needed,” said James Decker, Ronald McDonald House treasurer.

Members from the Ronald McDonald House Board of Directors will be on hand to answer questions and members of the staff will give personal tours of the house.

“Ronald McDonald House is celebrating their fifth year of providing a ‘home away from home’ for the families of seriously ill children undergoing medical treatment at area medical facilities. During this time Ronald McDonald House in New Brunswick has supported over 500 families from 30 states and 17 countries. In these difficult economic times it is more important than ever to reach out to those less fortunate to offer our help,” said Madiha Boraie, a Ronald McDonald House board member.

There will be food, refreshments and door prizes at the Jan. 26 event. For further information, contact Nanette Leonard at 732-222-8755, ext. 31, on Nanette@rmh-cnj.org.
