Project to memorialize children of Holocaust

The Butterfly Project is fluttering into the Monmouth County Library System.

In an effort to memorialize the 1.5 million Jewish children lost during the Holocaust, the Holocaust Museum Houston in Texas is collecting 1.5 million handmade butterflies for a special exhibit in 2013. The public can help make butterflies 6:30-7:30 p.m. March 31 at the Allentown Public Library, 16 South Main St., Allentown.

All butterflies made with the Monmouth County Library System will be displayed at the headquarters branch in Manalapan for Holocaust Remembrance Day and then submitted to the Holocaust Museum Houston’s Butterfly Project.
