Mrs. Pateman, 81, of Spotswood, died Dec. 28, 2011, at home. She was born in South River, where she had resided for many years before moving to Spotswood several years ago. Prior to retiring in 1983, she was a factory worker at American Reese, Englishtown, for five years. She was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, Englishtown. Mrs. Pateman was predeceased by her first husband, Walter Hermanski, in 1983; a son, Wayne Hermanski; and a stepson, Gene Pateman. Surviving are her husband, George Pateman; a son and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Donna Hermanski of Englishtown; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Nick Newinski of Freehold; four stepsons, George Pateman and wife Irene of the Parlin section of Sayreville, Mark Pateman and wife Brenda of Somerville, Michael Pateman of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, and Raymond Pateman and wife Lynn of Jackson; six grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; a step-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, followed by interment at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
