UNVEILING OF A NEW BEGINNING FOR FORMER SANCTUARY OF
FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF EWING
Join Preservation New Jersey, Inc. (PNJ) for a press conference on
Tuesday, May 1st,for an announcement regarding an exciting new beginning for the landmarkBenjamin Temple, home of the Ewing Township Historicst to learn what’s in store for
2012 at 11:00am
Scotch Road building, built in 1867, formerly used by the Ewing Presbyterian Church
congregation as a sanctuary. The press conference will be held at the
House, 27 Federal City Road, Ewing, NJ, 08638
Preservation Society. Directions are attached.
PNJ has been working with local advocates on solutions to save this 145-year-old
beloved community landmark since 2008, when the building was threatened with demolition
due to a history of structural concerns related to its roof trusses and stone walls. Thanks to
the efforts of many dedicated individuals, the building stands today, and is poised to continue
its legacy of community unification and celebration.
