Mrs. Scott, 87, of East Brunswick, died April 14, 2012, at Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a star player in the New Brunswick Women’s Basketball League in the late 1940s and early 1950s. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church, South River, and a member of the Corpus Christi Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. Scott was predeceased by her husband, Harold, in 2002. Surviving are two sons, Robert and his wife, Marlene, of Monroe, and Richard and his wife, Karen, of Jackson; two daughters, Joanne Scott-Santos and her husband, Victor, of Edison, and Karen Scott of East Brunswick; two sisters, Barbara Collins of East Brunswick and Marie Kuric of Valencia, Calif.; three grandchildren; a step-grandchild; and three greatgrandchildren. AMass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Corpus Christi Church. Interment followed at Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial & Honor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
