Harold J. Witzigman

Mr. Witzigman, 98, of Jackson, formerly of Pennsylvania, died April 25, 2012, at Kimball Medical Center, Lakewood. He was employed as a printer for Merck Pharmaceutical, Rahway. After retiring, he worked as a cashier at Monmouth Park racetrack, Oceanport. Mr. Witzigman was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and received the Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon, the World War II Victory Medal and theAmerican Service Medal. He was predeceased by his wife, Norma G. Witzigman. Surviving are two sons, Thomson C. Witzigman of Jackson and William Witzigman of Wanamassa; a daughter, Marilyn Thomas of Connecticut; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. A funeral service was held at the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson. A private cremation followed.
