Frank J. Durso

Mr. Durso, 88, of Marlboro, died May 22, 2012, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was known as “Frankie D.” Mr. Durso was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and resided in Marlboro for 27 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran ofWorldWar II and a life member of the VFW in Brooklyn. Prior to retiring, he was employed as a bus driver for 25 years for the New York City Transit Authority. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Geraldine; a daughter, Patricia Hansen of Monmouth Junction; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Gerard and Annette Roszak of Howell and Frank and Miles Roszak of Los Angeles; a sister, Bella Miccuci; two sisters in-law, Mildred Curatola and Theresa Goralski; and six grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Main Church, Marlboro, followed by interment at Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Arrangements were by the Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.
