Mrs. Thompson, 83, of Freehold Township, died July 4, 2012, at home. She was predeceased by her husband, John “Gordy” Thompson, in 2000. Surviving are three children and their spouses, John G. Thompson Jr. and his wife, Rosemary, of Matawan, Edward R. Thompson and his wife, Linda, of Jackson, and Carol A. (Thompson) Belke and her husband, Craig, of Leonardo; and eight grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colts Neck, followed by interment in St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro. Arrangements were by the Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.
