Mr. Kennedy, 81, of Manchester, died Sept. 8, 2012, at Green Acres, Toms River, after a long illness. He retired from the New York Police Department as a detective. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Anne; and children Susan and John of Howell, and Thomas and Clare of Floral Park, N.Y.; a son-in-law, Rick D’Orazio; six grandchildren and a great-grandson. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lakewood. Arrangements were by the George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson.
