New Egypt H.S. names wrestling coach

A t the Sept. 26 meeting of the Plumsted Township School District Board of Education, Jason Frable was named New Egypt High School’s head wrestling coach. Frable will succeed Kevin English, who stepped down from the position this past summer.

Frable is a guidance counselor at New Egypt High School. He currently coaches track and field, and he has been an assistant wrestling coach since 2007.

According to information provided by the school district, Frable is a former West Virginia University wrestler. He has coached on the college level and has served as a high school wrestling coach at Eastern, Kingsway and Southern Regional, before coming to New Egypt. “Jason Frable has been an integral part of the New Egypt High School wrestling team for the past several years. He is well liked and respected by our wrestling community and I look forward to him leading our program,” Athletic Director Rich Carroll said. “Jason is a tireless worker who will ensure the success that the program has enjoyed in the past.”

When asked how he feels about taking over the Warriors’ wrestling program, Frable said, “Since starting at New Egypt five years ago, it has been an amazing process to watch certain individuals and this program flourish. It is an honor to have this opportunity.”
