Thank you Princeton Public Library

To the editor:
The election is over. Hurricane Sandy has gone out to sea. Perhaps we can get back to a more quiet life without negative campaign ads. Perhaps some of the politicians “approve this message” and perhaps others do not.
The Princeton Public Library has always been a place in town that expressed great professionalism and support to members of our community. Leslie Burger and all her staff have always displayed wonderful, supportive qualities. However, during the dark week of Hurricane Sandy, the qualities of professionalism, support, caring, compassion, were displayed to an even higher level.
When my house was dark and cold, and my mobile phone, the only means I and members of the community had to reach out to family and friends was discharging, the library provided all of us a sanctuary, a haven to warm up, read what was happening outside our immediate horizon, recharge our mobile phones and feel connected to others.
To go there after the storm of Tuesday, Oct. 30, and see people of all ages sitting all over, reading, logging on, talking and communicating was very heartwarming. The library staff added an extra dimension of warmth and comfort to me and to others. Bravo, kudos, encomiums to Leslie Burger and all her wonderful staff. Thank you and, keep up the good work.
