Mr. Battaglini, 87, of Howell, died Nov. 8, 2012, at Brandywine Assisted Living, Howell. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater. Prior to retiring, he was a bartender at Dom’s Lounge, Springfield, Pa. Before that, he was a draftsman for Baldwin Locomotive Works. Mr. Battaglini was predeceased by a sister, Marie Langelo. Surviving are two sons, Joseph Battaglini, and his wife, Wendy, of Oxford, Pa., and John Battaglini, and his wife, Denise, of Manalapan; and seven grandchildren. A Memorial Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown section of North Hanover.
