Night of rock, reggae scheduled for Oct. 12

Scott Paynter, founding lead singer of the reggae band Jah Works, and Philadelphia singer Tekeytha Fullwood will perform at 8 p.m. Oct. 12 at the Old Franklin Schoolhouse in Metuchen. The event will be an intimate, old-school acoustic performance of classic and original reggae, roots and rock music.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. with some classic reggae on the schoolhouse’s new 1,600-watt sound system. The live performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. There is a $10 suggested donation. Attendees should bring their own beverages. Kids under 12 are encouraged to attend and will be admitted free of charge.
