Programs offer help with retirement planning

The Edison Public Library will present the following programs in an effort to help with retirement planning:

 “Maximizing Your 401K,” 7 p.m. July 22 at the North Edison Library, 777 Grove Ave. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the many benefits of an IRA, including deferred accumulation, possible tax deductions, tax-free income and more. The presentation is given by New York Life.

 “Selling Your Home for the Most Money,” 7 p.m. July 29 at the Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave. Professionals will detail the process of getting a home ready for a fast sell and the six major factors that influence the sale of real estate.

 “Destination Retirement,” 7 p.m. July 30 at Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave. Prudential Insurance will help attendees prepare for smoother retirement by knowing what lies ahead.

 A Medicare overview will be presented at 2 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave. Questions are welcome.
