BPI sets national standards for residential energy efficiency and weatherization retrofit work. Through the BPI GoldStar Contractor program, contractors learn best practices for service improvement through quality management training and contractor mentoring.
Contractors must agree to adhere to BPI standards when conducting heating and air conditioning or other home services. BPI conducts data review of members’ jobs and may occasionally perform in-field quality assurance testing.

Pamela Jasones of Somerset has joined The Provident Bank as vice president and area manager of the North Brunswick, Milltown and Highlands branches.
In this position, Jasones is responsible for overseeing and supervising business development, community relations and the daily operations of the three branches.
Prior to joining Provident, she was vice president and business development officer for TD Bank, Magyar Bank and United Trust Bank.
Jasones is a graduate of the American Institute of Banking. She is also a member of the Somerset County Chamber of Commerce and a board member of the Community Services of Somerset County.
Dottie Cruz of Monmouth Junction has joined The Provident Bank as banking center manager of the bank’s North Brunswick branch, 2750 Route 27.
Cruz will be responsible for business development, community relations and the daily branch operations.
She comes to Provident with 27 years of banking industry experience. Prior to joining Provident, she held the position of manager at Magyar Bank.
The Unitarian Society and Montessori School, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick, will offer a Kids Fun Fest noon-4 p.m. Sept. 6.
