Halloween comedy to haunt the Forum

“Blithe Spirit,” a ghostly comedy, will be presented at 8 p.m. Oct. 30 and Nov. 1, 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31, and 3 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Forum Theater, 314 Main St., Metuchen.

The fast-talking comedy by Noel Coward is about a novelist who employs a medium to conduct a séance as research for his latest novel — only to have her bring back the ghost of his sassy first wife.

Directed by the theater group’s founders, Anna Paone and Catherine La- Moreaux, the show spotlights the talents of local and New York actors. In the lead role is Tenafly native Wally Marzano- Lesnevich, an alumnus of Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts. Playing his second wife is Metuchen resident Claire McClanahan. Others in the cast include Lindsay Adkins of Roselle Park, Vivian Lam of Piscataway, Bernadette Maass of New York and Barry Leonard of East Brunswick. Playing the psychic is Perry Award nominee Rosemary Wall of Mountain Lakes. Matthew Holbert of Metuchen is the company’s assistant director.
