Hillsborough Township government has scheduled its annual Christmas tree lighting for 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, opposite the Garden of Honor on the township municipal complex.
Santa Claus will arrive on a fire truck to signal the countdown to light the town tree, He will later talk with youngsters in a small house on the property.
At least 10 small trees on the property will be decorated by Scouts and other community groups.
Hot chocolate and cookies will be served inside afterwards.
