LGBT Church Moves to Mercer County

Metropolitan Community Church of Christ the Liberator (MCC CTL) will be relocating its ministries to Mercer County beginning in January 2015. Services will be held at Grace-St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 3715 E. State Street Ext. in Hamilton Twp. beginning Sunday, Jan. 4 at noon. A Saturday evening service will begin Feb. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
MCC CTL’s pastor, Rev. Dr. Tom Bohache, is excited about the move and is confident that moving to Mercer County will better serve the needs of new and existing members. The church has met in various locations in Middlesex County from 1977 to 2014. Additionally, he says the new partnership with Grace-St. Paul’s will benefit both congregations. MCC CTL has sponsored a monthly Spiritual Awareness Discussion Group for the Rainbow Community on the last Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m., and Rev. Bohache believes other joint ventures will follow.
MCC CTL is a progressive Christian congregation serving the LGBT community of central New Jersey and beyond. It is a member of the Universal Fellowship of Metropolitan Community Churches, founded in 1968 by Rev. Elder Troy D. Perry to as an outreach to LGBT communities and our allies.
