The J.P. Stevens High School Band will present an Evening of Jazz at 7 p.m. May 20 at 855 Grove Ave., Edison.
The show will feature performances from both of the high school’s jazz bands.
Both jazz ensembles were accepted to perform at the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education’s State Jazz Finals on April 25 at Princeton High School.
Forty-seven J.P. Stevens students were selected through auditions for the Central Jersey Region Band, while 30 students were selected for the All-State Band, the highest number from any school in the state.
