PENNINGTON: 125th anniversary celebration continues

Pennington Borough’s 125th anniversary celebration continues with a number of borough-wide events taking place throughout the summer.
“Pennington Comes of Age” photographs by George H. Frisbie from the collection of the Hopewell Valley Historical Society are on exhibit on a rotating basis at the Pennington Borough Library.
Pennington Borough Library has summer programming for children and adults.
The third Thursday summer-long concert series is scheduled for July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Howe Commons and is sponsored by Pennington Parks & Recreation Commission, Pennington Business & Professional Association and Pennington’s Economic Development Commission. Bring a blanket, hear local bands and have food from local vendors.
The Fourth of July races at the Pennington School track on Burd Street will be held for children ages 3-12. Races begin at 9 a.m.
There are 125th commemorative house flags still available. Celebrate hometown heritage with this decorative flag. They are available at Borough Hall and at the Front Porch for $40. Proceeds support the 125th anniversary celebration.

A historic house tour sponsored by the Hopewell Valley Historical Society on Oct. 3.
The 125th “Lucky to Live in Pennington” dance Nov. 13. 
