HILLSBOROUGH: Weather holds off for high school graduation

Mother Nature opened a window of opportunity Thursday night and Hillsborough High School jumped through it to hold graduation ceremonies on its Noonan Field on campus. After a year trying the indoor facilities at Sun Bank Arena in Trenton, early-evening commencement was back at its home athletic stadium. It was a bit of touch and go; all day a misty rain slowly dissipated until it was clear enough to make the call to go outside the ceremony. A total of 578 graduates received diplomas. Student speakers were valedictorian Trisha Datta and co-salutatorians David Han and Sophia Huang. Class president Michael Reilly said the class gift was to be a beautification project for the high school.
