The Metuchen Recreation Commission, Edison Recreation, Woodbridge Bicycle Committee and the Central Jersey Bicycle Club will sponsor a “Children’s Bicycle Safety Event” from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., Aug. 1, beginning at the Middlesex Greenway trailhead on Middlesex Ave., Metuchen, entrance or from the Dudash Park May Street entrance in Metuchen.
Participants will learn about bicycle safety, rules of the road and proper bike fitting. Riderled rides will start from both locations.
Registration is not required. The rain date will be Aug. 2. Additional event sponsors include What’s the Scoop in Metuchen and Joyful Cycle in Edison.
