Temple B’nai Shalom, 15 Fern Road, East Brunswick, will host its free Jazz It Up Musical Shabbat for prospective members Aug. 21.
A wine-and-cheese reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. Shabbat services, including vocals and instrumental music, are set for 7 p.m. A live-jazz dessert reception will follow the service.
