The Indo American Cultural Society of Edison is partnering with Man Making Group and the First Presbyterian Church of Iselin to serve as the hosts to the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and 69th Independence Day of India Celebration from 12-3 p.m. Aug. 15.
The event will feature patriotic songs, cultural dance performances by children from dance schools, addresses by community leaders and a flag-hoisting ceremony. Many local, county, state and federal elected officials will attend.
Light lunch and soft drinks will be served after the event.
