Children from all over central New Jersey will gather to dance under the spotlight for one afternoon in an event hosted by Dance Connections at 1 Jill Court, Hillsborough, starting at noon on Saturday, Aug. 29. Families can RSVP a spot at MidsummerNightsDance.com.
“A Midsummer Nights Dance” is an opportunity for children as young as 3 to have a unique and fun adventure before the start of the school year,” said David Kiefer, founder and director of Dance Connections.
“Experience what it’s like to dance in a world of color and stars,” he said. “Put on a pair of fairy wings and become a firefly princess. Bling out under the black light at a hip-hop dance class. Make a sky lantern, just like from the movie Tangled. Plus there’s a dance party, interactive artwork, performances and more.
“We love combining dance with other elements to create something completely new,” said Mr. Kieffer. “All of us have an inner child that loves do dance under the colored lights. Why should only pop stars get to step into the spotlight?”
