HILLSBOROUGH: Verizon proposing cel tower at Triangle Road site

Verizon Wireless has filed for permission to attach six panel antennae on the high-power electric transmission lines right-of-way at 249 Triangle Road. The application is on the Board of Adjustment agenda for Wednesday, Sept. 1.
Verizon would put the antennae 7 feet from the top of the 151-foot metal tower owned by PSE&G in an effort to fill a gap in coverage for the Verizon Wireless communication system, according to the application.
It also wants to build a 24-by-32-foot equipment compound at the base of the tower. No one would work there.
The 4.5-acre property lies between Stockton and Farm roads on the westbound side of Triangle Road. Denise Valis of Manville owns the lot, which is described in the application as appearing to be “a flooded, unfinished house foundation,” which is labeled as a pond, a gravel driveway, shipping container, trailer and several vehicles.
