Individuals who are looking for a job may want to attend the Monmouth County Job Fair to be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 18 at the Brookdale Community College Collins Arena, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft.

The job fair will provide individuals with access to employers seeking talented candidates in every discipline, from hospitality and health care to finance, education, telecommunications, computer science and everything in between, according to a press release from the county.

Nearly 150 local employers and employment resource organizations will be participating in the free event. No registration is required for job-seekers.

“In addition to bringing in top employers from throughout Monmouth County, we are providing resources for job-seekers to assist them in preparing for their search,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Serena Di- Maso, liaison to the county’s Division of Workforce Development.

“The county continues to provide resources and to respond to the needs of its business community,” DiMaso said. “This job fair is one way the county helps residents and helps strengthen business.”

A full list of employers will be posted at www.visitmonmouth.com by Sept. 17.

The county offers ongoing job services at its One-Stop Career Center at 145 Wyckoff Road, Suite 201, Eatontown.

Creative Marketing Alliance, a marketing and public relations firm in Princeton Junction, announced that Erna Vary of Jackson has been recognized with the Crew Star award for the third quarter. The Crew Star award recognizes a team member each quarter for his or her dedication to the company’s core values, instilling these positive principals to the team while also enhancing the company’s culture.

As a bookkeeper, Vary is in charge of the financial reporting for several different clients, as well as ordering office supplies, handling postage and most recently taking on vendor relations for telephone support and service. With this award, Vary will receive a reserved parking spot in the employee lot, have lunch with CMA’s executive team and receive a gift certificate to a local restaurant.

The Friends of the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization, was awarded a $1,000 grant by Wells Fargo to support the organization’s mission to raise funds to complete the construction of the child advocacy center in Freehold Township.

A child advocacy center offers an integrated, multidisciplinary, child-friendly approach to the investigation and treatment of sexual and physical abuse of children.

The grant was awarded as part of Wells Fargo’s Community Connections program, which provides local branch managers the opportunity to make a $1,000 charitable contribution on behalf of Wells Fargo to a nonprofit organization of their choice.
