Shooting death of Old Bridge man under investigation

ABERDEEN – The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Aberdeen Township Police Department have launched a joint investigation into the death of a 22-year-old Old Bridge man whose body was found in a township parking lot on Sept. 13.

Charles Webster, public information officer for the prosecutor’s office, said William H. Karecki sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was found dead in a parking lot by in the Cliffwood Beach section of the township.

Webster said Aberdeen police responded to a 911 call at 9:44 p.m. on Sept. 13, of a deceased male in the area of 2 Ocean Blvd.

Upon arrival, officers located the body of Karecki, who had sustained gunshot wounds, he said.

According to Webster, no arrests had been made as of Monday.

According to Webster, the y Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of criminals and fugitives.
