Marilynn Scafidi, manager of Weichert, Realtors’ Metuchen sales office, announced that they will be hosting a Pet Adoption Day on Sept. 26 with the Edison Animal Shelter to help place animals in their forever homes. Members of the community interested in adopting an animal are invited to attend the event, which is scheduled to take place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Weichert, Realtors Metuchen office, located at 640 Middlesex Ave. Attendees will have the opportunity to interact and play with a variety of cats and dogs. Volunteers from the organization will be on site to answer any questions you may have regarding an animal, their history or the adoption process.
“We are honored to work with an organization that makes such a powerful impact on the most helpless members in our local community — the homeless animals,” Scafidi said. “In line with the Weichert culture, we are grateful to be able to make a difference for these animals and the people that care for them.”
