EAST BRUNSWICK—The past will come alive from 5:30 to 8:30 pm on Oct. 17 and 18 during the annual tours of Historic Chestnut Hill Cemetery on Old Bridge Turnpike.
More than 500 candles will illuminate the beautiful, 19th-century cemetery while actors in period costume tell the stories of the local residents who are interred there.
Tours are appropriate for the whole family. Each tour lasts about 45 minutes and concludes with free refreshments. Admission is $8 for adults and $2. for children 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the East Brunswick Museum.
The cemetery is located on Old Bridge Turnpike near the Rues Lane intersection. On-site parking is free.
