MARLBORO — The Marlboro Library is offering several new programs on Wednesdays this fall, with something for everyone.
On Nov. 4 at 1 p.m., Greta Anderson will present Monotype-The Painterly Print for painters and non-artists to learn a simple but innovative printmaking technique. The class will be limited to 20 people. Call the library on Oct. 28 to register.
On Dec. 2 at 1 p.m., Collen Smith, caregiver specialist, and Debbie Bottomley, disabilities and veteran services, will discuss county services that are available for seniors and veterans.
Short and Sweet, A Short Story Book Club, will make its debut on Oct. 28 from 2- 3 p.m. with “Miriam,” a short story by Truman
Capote. On Dec. 16 the discussion will be about “The Waltz” by Dorothy Parker. Copies of the stories are available at the Reference Desk one month prior to the discussion.
World Cinema, a series of movies from around the world, will be shown at 1 p.m. The first feature is Oct. 14, “Fill the Void” (Israel); Nov. 18, “Gloria” (Chile); and “Force Majeure” (Sweden).
Vintage Reels, a series of favorite classics, will be shown at 1 p.m. The first feature is Oct. 21, “Rear Window,” Nov. 25, “The Professionals,” and Dec. 23, “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.”
