HIGHTSTOWN: Son of council member dies at home

A 19-year-old Hightstown man died at his home Monday, Nov. 9.
Police are not releasing the name of the man, but according to social media sites and confirmed by the Barlow & Zimmer Funeral Home website, the victim is Andrew M. “Big Red” Kurs, son of Hightstown borough council member Seth Kurs.
Police responded to the residence at 5:32 p.m. Monday and found the subject unresponsive, according to Sgt. Benjamin Miller of the Hightstown Police Department. CPR measures were initiated and Narcan was deployed, Sgt, Miller said. The subject was subsequently transported to Princeton Medical Center were he was pronounced dead at 6:16 p.m.
The manner and cause of death is under investigation, according to police.
