– After Hours Networking slated for Nov. 19 at Gold Coast Cadillac

The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce and the Eastern Area Chamber of Commerce will be co-mingling at an After Hours Networking event, hosted by Gold Coast Cadillac in the Oakhurst section of Ocean, Nov. 19.

Gold Coast will provide hors d’oeuvres from Branches Catering, wine and soft drinks amidst the ambience of the new showroom. The event will include the GOTCC’s usual Round-Robin Introductions, where everyone present gains instant recognition by passing a microphone and offering a 20-second introduction, and door prizes.

In lieu of admission, guests are asked to bring a $10 or larger gift card to a local clothing or food store that will be donated to Neptune’s Seidle children. This is the family of nine children who suffered the tragic loss of their mother in June, leaving them on their own. Gold Coast Cadillac is one of six drop-off locations in Ocean and Neptune in the GOTCC’s on-going gift card campaign to support the children. Anyone who shows up without a gift card will be accessed a $10 admission fee from which gift cards will be purchased.

The Greater Ocean Township Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a year-long contest called GOT30. Anyone in business in Monmouth or Ocean County may join at www.GOT30.org (where the details and rules are listed), and get one entry toward the grand prizes that total almost $17,000 worth of business growth prizes that include multi-media advertising. Anyone who is already registered in GOT30, who registered for the event online by Nov. 12 and brings a gift card, will get 30 additional GOT30 contest entries. The winner will be selected in January at the chamber’s annual luncheon.

The After Hours event begins at 5:30 p.m. at Gold Coast Cadillac at 2123 Route 35 north in Oakhurst. Reservations may be made at GOTCC.org/Forms.html.

NEPTUNE — The 18th annual Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations’ Gala, “Building a Better Future,” will take place from 6-11 p.m. Nov. 21 at Ocean Place Resort & Spa, 1 Ocean Blvd., Long Branch.

The signature fundraising event will benefit Meridian’s not-for-profit hospitals and community health programs in both Monmouth and Ocean counties.

This year’s gala will honor Emily Hovnanian while celebrating the 10th anniversary of the transformational gift she and her late husband, Kevork, made to Meridian to name K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital.

“I can speak on behalf of the entire Hovnanian family when I say we are humbled to have Emily as our mom. She and our father, Kevork, taught us the value of community and generosity early on and what it means to share for the betterment of others,” said Lucy Kalian, daughter of Emily and Kevork and co-chair of the event, in a press release. “We couldn’t be more excited to chair this event, honor our amazing mother, and help raise critical funds for Meridian Health.”

Additional co-chairs include the Hovnanian’s children and spouses, James and Esto Barry, Ara and Rachel Hovnanian, Mazin Kalian, Dr. Tavit and Sossie Najarian, and Dr. Roberto and Nadia Rodriguez.

Tickets are $450 each and include a cocktail reception, dinner, dessert display and music by The Rhythm Shop. Guests can also enjoy a silent auction and 50/50 cash raffle.
