The Jackson Memorial High School cheer squad will host its third annual gift auction at 5 p.m. Nov. 21 at the AMVETS post, 1290 Toms River Road, Jackson. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. This fundraiser will benefit the cheer team as its members prepare to defend their Americheer InterNational championship title in February. A portion of the gift auction proceeds will be donated to Jackson’s Garden of Hope, a public sanctuary where parents and family members can reflect on the memory of children who have passed away. Mission Dance will perform at the American Hotel, Freehold, at a “Day After Thanksgiving Party.” Doors will open at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 27 and Mission Dance will play from 9 p.m. to midnight. Howell’s Little Elves program is in need of children to become elves this holiday season. Elves must be 13 years of age and older and should be accompanied by an adult.
