The Freehold Branch of the American Association of University Women recently honored Frances Vender of Manalapan as its 2015 scholarship recipient.
Vender is completing her master’s degree in social work at Rutgers University, according to a press release from the AAUW. Her focus is on helping individuals with substance abuse problems.
As a mother of four children, Vender still finds time to volunteer at her church as well as at her children’s sports activities.
The AAUW’s annual used book sale funds this scholarship and the members of the organization thanked the Freehold community for its ongoing support, according to the press release.
