Time for full-day kindergarten in Marlboro

Well, the Marlboro voters have spoken and they voted down the referendum to raise taxes for full-day kindergarten. The fact that the Marlboro K-8 School District Board of Education insists there is not enough room is not really true. There is actually room in all the other elementary schools in the district and there really is money for it.

The real issue is that the district is in no hurry to give up the $5,000 per child income they are currently receiving in the full-day kindergarten lottery. Where is my tax money going? Why did the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District institute full-day kindergarten in 2014? What has happened to the priorities of our school board?

They need to do their job and provide all the Marlboro students with full-day kindergarten. Do your job or resign, and let someone else do what is right.
