Sanzio Salon and Day Spa will hold its ninth annual holiday bake sale from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 18-19 and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 20 at the salon, 1008 Route 34, Matawan.
This year, Mikey Richert, a 10-year-old cousin of a salon employee, is battling a medulloblastoma brain tumor. Mikey attends the John Adams Elementary School in North Brunswick.
Funds raised at the bake sale will also go toward the Jamie Levy Memorial Scholarship for Volunteerism and Community Service. Graduating seniors from Matawan Regional High School who are planning to attend college may apply through the high school guidance department.
Last year, the salon raised more than $6,500 to support Give Kids the World and two children in medical need. In the past nine years, approximately $36,500 has been raised.
