Charges filed seven months after South Brunswick warehouse break-in

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — After a seven-month investigation, detectives have identified a suspect in a burglary to a commercial warehouse on Commerce Drive.

Detectives charged Miguel Rosario, 25, of Bellmawr in Camden County with burglary and criminal mischief on Dec. 7.

The break-in at the WB Mason warehouse on Commerce Drive was reportedly interrupted on May 23 after the suspect set off an alarm. The suspect was captured on video walking in the warehouse wearing gloves, a black sweatshirt and a black ski mask, police said.

The suspect had pried open a bay door to get inside the warehouse. The suspect fled in a box truck after setting off the alarm, according to reports.

Detectives canvassed the commercial area near New Jersey Turnpike Exit 8A for any digital evidence the suspect may have left behind. Detective Mike Pellino was able to identify the type of box truck the suspect used. The truck was traced to a Philadelphia area address and later to the suspect, police said.

Detectives obtained search warrants that revealed additional physical evidence that allegedly placed Rosario at the scene in May, police said.

Rosario was apprehended by Bellmawr Police and turned over to South Brunswick detectives. His bail was set at $50,000, which he was able to post.

Chief Raymond Hayducka credited diligent police work with solving the case.

“This case required persistence and determination in identifying all the evidence and leads. The suspect may have believed he had gotten away, but it was only a matter of time and hard work until we caught up to him,” Hayducka said.
