Last month’s Monmouth County Fair at the E. Freehold Showgrounds in Freehold included a home and garden competition.

In the art category, first-place winners were:

Pen and ink in color: Alexander Powers of Hazlet;

Pencil in black and white: Emma Brooke of Howell;

Pencil in color: Ariana Simon of Cliffwood.

In the mixed-media category, first-place winners were:
