The Middlesex Regional Chamber of Commerce (MCRCC) will present a panel discussion on "The Rising Costs of Healthcare" June 25 from 8:30-11 a.m. at DeVry University, Route 1, North Brunswick (registration begins at 8 a.m.). Tickets include continental breakfast and are $40 at the door, $35 for nonmembers and $25 for members.
Panel members are Jim Leonard, vice president of the New Jersey State Chamber of Commerce, Michele Guhl, president of the New Jersey Association of Health Plans, and Ron Czajkowski, vice president of the New Jersey Hospital Association.
Topics include cost management, and business responsibilities with regard to healthcare and new legislation.

Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, has announced vascular surgeon Jennifer R. Syrek, MD, has set up an office at 53 Main St., Sayreville. The Franklin Township resident is the only vascular surgeon stationed in the borough, and will also maintain an office at 78 Easton Ave., New Brunswick, as part of Central Jersey Surgical Specialists.
Syrek is affiliated with both the Old Bridge and Perth Amboy divisions of Raritan Bay Medical Center. She received her medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry/Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, Camden; and her undergraduate degree at Rutgers College, New Brunswick. A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, she is board certified in both general and vascular surgery.
