The Robert E. Lee Civil War Round Table of Central New Jersey presents its annual Civil War Living History Weekend at Parker Press Park, Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge, Aug. 8-9.
Camps are open to the pubic from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. On Aug. 8 at 8 p.m., a special 150th Civil War Commemoration Ceremony will be held, followed by Candle Light Camp Visitations from 8:30-10 p.m.
Take a step back 150 years and witness soldiers from the Federal and Confederate forces skirmish, view medical and weapons demonstrations, visit the civilian and military camps, speak with the Civil War living historians and re-enactors, purchase wares from Civil Warera sutlers, and learn more about the Civil War.
The event will be held rain or shine. Admission and parking are free.
