PRINCETON AREA: Police blotter

Princeton
Someone unlawfully entered an apartment on the 300 block of Elm Road between January and July 2013 and stole three personal checks.
An Apple Mac Air valued at $1,300 was stolen from a backpack sometime on Oct. 16 when the victim was on the 100 block of Moore Street.
A Samsung Galaxy S4 was stolen when it was left charging and unattended by a man working in a building on the 100 block of Edgerstoune Road on Oct. 23.
Mauricio Calix, 32, of Morristown, was issued a summons for careless driving after he failed to stop at the intersection of Great Road and Stuart Road and hit a Mini Cooper stopped in front of him.
Plainsboro
Vivek Pokhare, 40, of Plainsboro, was arrested at 5:16 a.m. on Oct. 15 and charged with criminal trespass after police received a report that he entered an apartment in Building 2 on Pheasant Hollow Drive, woke the residents, talked to them and left. Police searched the area and located Mr. Pokhare who allegedly could not demonstrate a legitimate business or social purpose for being on or in the premises.
Someone forced entry into three homes on Barclay Boulevard and stole an undetermined amount of items between 2:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Oct. 17. Entry was gained through bedroom and rear windows and also through the front door of one of the residences.
Jenay D. Crawford, 25, of Trenton, was arrested at 1:09 a.m. on Oct. 19 and was charged with hindering apprehension, obstruction of justice, unsafe lane change, failure to exhibit a driver’s license, driving while suspended, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle after police pulled her over for failing to signal a lane change on Route 1. She allegedly provided police with false information during the investigation. Passenger Akira S. Heading, 25, of Ewing, was also arrested and charged with hindering and obstruction for also allegedly providing police with false information. Passenger Cory D. Flounoy, 25, of Trenton, was also arrested on a $583 shoplifting warrant. Police said all of the individuals in the vehicle had active traffic and criminal warrants from Lawrence Township, Ewing Township and Trenton totaling $3,291.
Kenneth Tarr, 23, of Plainsboro, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. on Oct. 20 at Caddy Shack Bar and Grill on Hunters Glen Drive and charged with criminal mischief after he allegedly became so overly excited while watching football that he shattered the glass front entrance door with his head. The damage to the door was estimated at $500.
Montgomery
A 2013 Mercedes Benz caught fire after it was involved in a car crash at 6:50 p.m. Oct. 16 in the intersection of Route 601 and Pleasant View Road. The crash occurred when a 2015 GMC Yukon, operated by Krishna C. Kolli, 31, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, made a left turn from Route 601 onto Pleasant View Road in front of the Mercedes Benz operated by Elizabeth A. Clemente, 59, of Skillman. Ms. Clemente complained of knee pain from hitting the airbag underneath the steering column during the crash. After being evaluated by Montgomery Emergency Medical Services, she refused any additional medical attention. Mr. Kolli received a motor vehicle summons for careless driving.
West Windsor
Todd G. Stearn, 40, of Trenton; Ashley M. Edwards, 31, of Somerville; and Daniel B. Phillips, 32, of Somerville, were arrested at 12:12 p.m. Oct. 14 after police received a report of shoplifting at Kohl’s. Mr. Stearn was charged with shoplifting five pairs of pants worth $232. Ms. Edwards was charged with possession of two hypodermic needles. She also had a $997 warrant out of South Plainfield and an $89 warrant out of Bridgewater. Mr. Phillips was a wanted person from Somerset County and also had a $2,500 warrant out of Flemington and a $478 warrant out of Bridgewater.
Michael O. Gayle, 45, of Trenton, was arrested at 4:47 p.m. Oct. 14 at Wal-Mart and charged with shoplifting merchandise totaling $173.74. He also had a $195 warrant out of Ewing Township.
A 61-year-old Ewing resident had her iPhone stolen while shopping in Wal-Mart at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 16. She placed the $400 phone onto a box inside of the store and shortly afterward noticed it had been taken.
A black female approximately 5-foot-6-inches tall, 160 pounds, and wearing a green camouflage jacket and head scarf and a black female approximately 5-foot-4-inches tall, 190-200 pounds, and wearing gray stretch pants and a blue jean jacket concealed 11 outfits with a total value of $373 in a baby stroller and exited Buy Buy Baby just before 3 p.m. on Oct. 17. They fled the parking lot in a gold Chevrolet.
Alexander Mazzone, 32, of Plainsboro, was arrested at 3:43 p.m. on Oct. 18 on Route 1 near Alexander Road and charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic needles and assault by auto after he was involved in a motor vehicle crash.
