‘Wild World of Reptiles’ at library July 20

The South Brunswick Public Library will present "Wild World of Reptiles and Bugs" July 20 at 1:30 p.m. Registration is required for the program for children ages 5 and older.

A four-week yoga session will be offered July 22 and 29, Aug. 12 and 19 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The cost is $30, and participants need to bring an exercise mat and wear loose clothing. The class is appropriate for beginner and intermediate levels.

The library’s adult book discussion club will meet Aug. 5 at 7:30 p.m. to discuss That Camden Summer by Lavryle Spencer. The club meets on the first Monday of the month, but the September meeting will be held Sept. 9 due to the holiday. The remaining books are Road From Coorain by Jill Conway (September), short stories by John O’Hara (October), Angel of Darkness by Caleb Carr (November), and Country of the Pointed Firs by Sarah Jewett (December). Free cancer screenings to be offered July 18

The South Brunswick Health Department in partnership with the Middlesex County Health Department will offer a free breast and cervical cancer screening July 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in South Brunswick.

Women age 40 and older who do not have health insurance should call the health department for eligibility requirements.

ARF to sponsor pet photo contest at fair

Animal Rescue Force (ARF), East Brunswick, will sponsor a pet photo contest at the August Middlesex County Fair.

Interested individuals should send a favorite pet photo (not returnable) and a $2 entry fee to ARF, P.O. Box 428, East Brunswick NJ 08816. Deadline is July 20.

Voting will take place at the ARF booth at the fair Aug. 5-11. Winners will be announced at 4 p.m. on Aug. 11. Ribbons will be awarded to first- to fourth-place-winning photos of both cats and dogs.

Cyclones ticket prices adjusted from $20 to $6

The township of North Brunswick Department of Human Services (DHS) has announced prices for Brooklyn Cyclones tickets have been adjusted. The game will be July 13 at 6 p.m. in Brooklyn, N.Y.

The original fee was $20 and covered transportation and ticket. The transportation service has been canceled, therefore, the ticket price is now $6. For more information, call (732) 247-0922, ext. 475.

‘International Film Festival’ begins July 18

The South Brunswick Public Library will present its annual "International Film Festival" beginning with Amelie (French) July 18.

All films are free and sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Films will be shown at 7 p.m.

The Day I Became a Woman (Farci) will be July 25, and Divided We Fall, a film in Czech and German will be Aug. 1. The Italian film Bread and Tulips will be shown Aug. 8. The film in Spanish, Butterfly, will be shown Aug. 15, and Chunhyang (Korean) will be Aug. 22.
