If you would like to become a high school basketball official for the 2003-04 season, please contact Allan Kaufman at (732) 390-1860 or at [email protected]. Classes begin in October in East Brunswick and will get you on the court for the start of the 2003-04 season.

The Sayreville Athletic Association will be hosting a preseason basketball tournament this month. There will be two divisions — 5/6 grade and 7/8 grade. Coast to Coast Athletics is recruiting New Jersey youth baseball players (ages 11-12, 13-15, and 16-18) to represent the USA in international competition in Puerto Rico and Australia. Outstanding amateurs, selected nationwide, will compete against international all-star teams during the winter, spring and summer school breaks. Each trip lasts 7-14 days and is packed with baseball action, intensive training and cultural excursions. Squads are managed by a staff of top college coaches and pro scouts who provide participating players with a unique perspective on what it’s like to play at the collegiate and professional level. The Goodwill Ambassadors are cur­rently accepting applications for high school teams, club teams and individual high school-age volleyball players, in the USA and Canada, to participate in the Goodwill Ambassadors Volleyball ex­change to Europe in July 2004. Members of this team will represent their country and community in volleyball tournaments and local competitions in London, Paris, Geneva, Venice and Rome. Jersey Shore Shots girls U10 AAU basketball tryouts are scheduled for Nov. 1 and 2 from 10 a.m. to noon. All girls born in 1993 are eligible.
